Altrincham Football Club made history last weekend by becoming the first football team to wear an LGBT+ themed football kit for a competitive football match in support of footballs fight against homophobia and transphobia. Alrincham are a non-league football team and they hope to have inspired the much larger professional football teams to follow this trend. This awareness campaign is very timely with LGBT+ awareness month taking place.
