Read more...Manchester is marking two years since a terror attack at the city's Arena which killed 22 people.
The attack took place on 22nd May 2017 and there will be a programme of events to remember the people that tragically lost their lives.
ITV have reported that the 2019 programme will feature a more intimate programme of events compared with last year. A list of what is taking place has been provuided below:
14:00 - Private memorial service for families and first responders. A private civic memorial service is being held at St Ann’s church. The families of those killed, people who were injured, and representatives from first responders are being invited to attend.
14:30 - A minute's silence. Many public services across Manchester are planning to take part in a minute's silence, including Manchester Piccadilly station.
22:31 - Bells will ring out across the city. Bells will ring out from Manchester Town Hall, Manchester Cathedral, The Hidden Gem Church and St Ann’s Church for one minute.
Manchester Cathedral will also be open throughout the day for people to "spend some time in quiet reflection and prayer" - the city council has announced.
There will be opportunities for people to light a candle and spend time remembering those who died, those still suffering physically and mentally and everyone affected by the attack.
ITV have published that there are plans are also underway for a permanent memorial in Manchester's city centre and this will be located close to the Arena and Cathedral.
